Pim Fortuyn always selected his neckties carefully and knotted them always with a single Windsor knot. Through his flamboyant lifestyle, and his firm statements, he appealed to many who had lost their beleive in politics. Never had a new face in the Dutch politics so much followers so fast. Sadly not everyone could appreciate his critisism. On may the 6th 2002 shortly after 6 o'clock in the evening he was shot in a act of terror.
